Online Roulette Guide
There are two common versions of online roulette. These are European and American roulette. European roulette is played with a ‘0’ whereas American roulette is played with a ‘0’ and a ‘00’.
When players access the game the roulette layout appears on the monitor. The player’s balance is also depicted usually at the bottom of the screen. One chip of every denomination is displayed. The player clicks on the chip he wants to bet and then on the appropriate betting area on the layout. The numbers covered by the bet get highlighted so that the player is sure that he has clicked the correct betting area. The amount of the bet is deducted from the player’s balance. The player then clicks the spin button to set the wheel in motion. The wheel stops with the ball in one of the numbers. If the player has won he is paid out according to the rules and his balance gets credited. The player can then play the same wager by clicking the rebet button, or place a new bet using the process described earlier or exit from the
casino game.
In online roulette the bets are classified into two broad groups. These are inside bets and outside bets. The inside bets cover from one number to six numbers and have the chips placed inside the main block. The inside bets are straight bet, split bet, street bet, square bet and six line bet. The straight bet covers a single number and has the chips placed on that number. The split bet covers two numbers and has the chips placed between the two numbers. The street bet covers a horizontal row of three numbers and has the chip placed along side the row. The square bet covers four numbers and has the chip placed on the junction of the numbers. The six line bet covers two adjacent horizontal rows and has the chips places between the rows.
The outside bets cover twelve or eighteen numbers and have the chips placed outside the main block. The outside bets are the column bets and the even money bets. The column bet covers the twelve numbers in a vertical column and has the chips placed below the column. There are three types of even money bets. These are red versus black numbers, even versus odd numbers and first eighteen numbers versus second 18 numbers. There are specially designated areas where the chips for these bets have to be placed.
