Online Craps Guide

Online craps is a unique casino game. It is the only one that is played with dice and it is the only one that does not have any variants.

When players access the game the craps layout appears on the monitor. The player’s balance is also depicted usually at the bottom of the screen. The player clicks on the chip he wants to bet and then on the appropriate betting area on the layout. The amount of the bet is deducted from the player’s balance. There are two types of bets in craps. The one roll bets get decided in the next roll. The sequence bets can get carried forward for a number of rolls. The player then clicks the roll button to roll the dice. The dice bounce of the walls and reveal the number rolled. The one roll bets get settled immediately. If there are any sequence bets pending the player has to keep rolling the dice by clicking the roll button till the bets are settled. If the player has won he is paid out according to the rules and his balance gets credited. The player can then play the same wager by clicking the rebet button, or place a new bet using the process described earlier or exit from the game.

The first roll of the dice in online craps is referred to the come out roll. Many sequence bets depend on the number rolled in the come out roll. The most common of these is the Pass Line bet. If 7 or 11 are rolled the Pass Line bet immediately pays out even money. If 2, 3 or 12 are rolled the Pass Line bet loses immediately. If any other number is rolled then that number becomes the point and the game continues. A white marker appears next that number on the craps layout on the monitor. Now the Pass Line bet will win if the point is rolled again before rolling 7 and will lose if 7 is rolled again before rolling the point. In the Don’t Pass bet exactly the opposite holds good.

Most of the one roll bets are based in predicting the next number rolled. These are known as Proposition bets. The numbers 4, 6, 8 and 10 can be rolled by getting pairs, which is the same number on each die. These bets are known as Hard Ways bets. A common one roll bet is the Field bet. This bet wins if 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 are rolled on the next roll of the dice. The one roll bets have very high house edges and should be avoided.
